Visits to the Mine
In general, visits to the Escondida Mine are restricted due to safety reasons. However, management will consider the feasibility of certain visits. For this purpose, a visit request letter must be sent to the Corporate Affairs Manager, Minera Escondida Limitada at:

The request must be sent one month in advance of the date of the visit. The letter must include the names and ID numbers of the visitors, and must explain the reason for the visit. In any event, only people over 14 years of age and who are in good health may enter the site, as the mine is located at an elevation of 3,100 meters above sea level.
